Mountain Vista Golf located just minutes North of Fort Collins off I25 is a regulation 9 hole course that opened for play in 1992. Yardage plays 5,370 from the front tee's to a long 6,988 from the championship tee boxes, and with a rating of 35.6 and a slope at 118 there is room for all levels of play here. Most of the holes have sharp dog legs with hidden shot placements, a creek that runs throught the middle of the course and many mature trees. We played early today sunup tee time so while the fairways were a little wet from the sprinklers be glad you were not in the rough. This was not only wet but on the deep thick side so club selection was must here, as getting it up and out clean was a task. Being the second out of the box today kept the pace of play very fast, even with playing with a beginner, we had no problem finishing our round in under two hours. This is the fourth time playing here since I found out about it and really there is no problems with the pace of play at this track. Although there are not alot of bunkers here there are a few well place greenside traps that will swollow your your errant shots. The staff here are very pleasant and helpful for your needs such a change to some of the bigger courses where their only need is to get your fee money. A large driving range, putting green and chipping/sand green are located just next to a well stocked however small clubhouse. I really enjoy playing here and if you are looking for nice friendly course close to Fort Collins this is the one.
