Much of the advertised and received "gain" in distance is due to stronger loft than most irons on the market. Most of the longer clubs in the set are about a half club or so strong. Not until you get down near the wedges do they play at standard lofts. As far as playability, it takes some concerted effort to hit a cut shot with these irons. Despite being the "pro" series, there is still a considerable offset to help all the slicers feel good about themselves. On the bright side they are pretty forgiving on off center hits. If youre looking to work the ball left to right, these arent the clubs for you. They also are made of fairly soft material and the faces damage pretty easily. |
