Waxholm Golf Club is located at the beautiful Askrikefjärden - Bay of Askrike.
The Waxholm Golf Club was founded in 1989 and is situated in a beautiful landscape that soon to be declared as a state protected "Nature Reservation Area". It's build with beautifully large greens and generous fairways.
The Waxholm Golf Course offers play of variable difficulty, stimulating both to the demanding player as well as the intermediate and beginner.
The course is known to be long for back tee-players: 6.706 meters (one of the longest in Europe) and for it's many bunkers. The constructing architect is Tommy Nordström, one of the country's most experienced, well known and qualified golf course architects.
During 2004-2007 Waxholm GC arranged men's competition on the Swedish Telia Tour and the European Challenge Tour. Names like Peter Baker, Rafael Echenique, Martin Kaymer, Stuart Manley, Iain Pyman, Eduardo Romero etc were represented among the participating players. Stuart Manley from
