This is a gem sitting in a swamp... they have a lot of wild life on the front 9 including 12 foot gators. so when aproching the waters edge i would use a lot of caution... if you go into the woods on of the swamp, they are home to possionis snakes, so i would be careful before you step over logs and such when venturing into the jungle...

 

Now for the golf aspect of the course, the greens held true and ran about a 9 on the stemp, it is still early so the Burmuda grass is not fully grown into season, but the course is well maintained. Be aware that the course tends to play soft in the fairways, it's in a swamp, if there has been a recent rain you might be pluged.regardless it's a good test of golf from the tips, some holes will not be driver holes for the long hitter i sugest buying the yardage book for $5 they have in the club house it will help you plan your way around the course a little bettor...

The reason i gave this an 8 and not a 9 is due to the pace of play... they over book the course all of the time, everytime i have played there it has been a 5 plus hour round, they start people off the front and the back and when you go to make the turn you can add all the new groups into the mix as you turn to the front. The orginsation of the tee times is terrible, but if you get an early tee tee (which I sujest it gets hot with no wind back in the swamp)  your front 9 will be enjoyable with goo pace of play, then your back nine will be slow from all the eraly afternoon tee times going off either the back or the front, depending on which nine you start on.
