What a beauty! We had the rainiest spring in recorded history in Ohio, so our mid-June round occurred after only a few weeks of heat, sun, and foot traffic. Even so, it's obvious that this course is beautifully maintained all the time. There's a reason this course is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary: surrounded by dense woods, transected by a natural creek, and dotted with grassy wildlife habitate and seven ponds. The fairways were average-golfer friendly, averaging between 30-50 yds side-to-side. The first-cut roughs were also average-golfer friendly, typically 1-2 taller than the fairway. But, there were challenges aplenty: several holes demanded you carry the drive 180 yards across knee-high grass or naturalized wetlands. The greens were fast, the pin placements fair. The greens were not miniature-golf tricky, but you had to have touch to manage the speed and breaks. Lots of water, woods, and sand. Hit it straight, or plan on a long day in an unusually beautiful park!
